Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
At Divinity Recovery, we believe in taking an individualized approach to meeting your needs and customizing a treatment program that works for you. When you join the Divinity family, we work with you to determine the best combination of therapies and holistic modalities for your ideal state of recovery. The core of your treatment will be group therapy, a small and intimate setting where you can safely build a community. You will also be paired with a personal therapist that fits you best for weekly meetings, as well as a case manager to help you progress with treatment on your own terms. There are multiple levels of care available at Divinity Recovery, including intensive outpatient programs, regular outpatient treatment, and partial hospitalization. Before embarking on your journey to recovery, it is important to understand the difference between these services, so that you can choose one that best fits your individual needs.
What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment?
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are available for use in treating a range of mental health disorders including: anxiety and panic disorders, depression, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, Bi-Polar type 1 and 2, Borderline Personality Disorder, Eating Disorders and other forms of mental illness. Because IOP operates on a small scale, it does not require the extensive services such as residential or partial hospitalization (PHP) services. The level of care for each client required will depend on the individual and will be based on medical necessity assessed by our team of clinicians. IOP is generally viewed as the second phase of treatment in an Outpatient setting. This is a great time to build your recovery foundation while also allowing for time outside of programming hours to continue building a fulfilling life.
What are the benefits of Intensive Outpatient?
IOP focuses on allowing you to remain present in your life outside of recovery while also focusing on your treatment and giving yourself the opportunity to build a solid foundation. Whereas residential and PHP programming can be more restrictive, IOP is an inexpensive and flexible treatment alternative that can be instrumental in your recovery. The flexibility of IOP allows you the option to focus solely on your recovery, yet also being able to carry out regular work/personal commitments outside of programming hours. As mentioned before, the core of your treatment will include group therapy. We offer an array of group therapies by multiple master-level facilitators that have been hand selected all with a specialty in the group being conducted. Treatment modalities that are available in this context include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family therapy, anger management, EMDR, as well as experiential therapies such as yoga, sound bath meditations, Muy Thai, and weekly mindfulness hikes! Practical support from our case manager is also available to help clients with any issues outside of treatment such as education and employment.
For the support of your loved ones, family education/family therapy sessions can also be offered upon request.
